Packaging Technologist

Responsibilities

Join us as our packaging specialist. On a daily basis we work with world leading food and beverage brands to enable them to reuse their packaging. We’d love a packaging expert to join us and advise our brand partners on how to design for reuse and support them through the transition.

We’d value your support to:

• Consulting our brand partners on packaging design modifications required to ensure effective reuse - across both primary packaging (structural and labelling) and secondary packaging.
• Leading the qualification of our brand partners’ packaging, proving whether the package is reusable by our CleanCell technology and presenting the results to partners.
• Sourcing new reusable packaging to support our next launches.
• Creating and managing a library of common components (e.g. label adhesives, substrates, transport crates, etc) to enable brands to quickly migrate to reusable packaging.
• Assisting in understanding the cause of packaging failures to inform future design improvements.
• Supporting the engineering team on the design and testing of Cleancell technology.

Requirements

• 5 years+ experience in packaging design or packaging management within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
• Experience with glass packaging and durable plastic packaging.
• Experience working with corporate partners.
• Experience working with suppliers.
• Excellent visual, written and verbal communication.
• A passion to make the packaging industry more sustainable.
